Who runs BattlEye

BattlEye operates as a kernel driver on DayZ. Global bans are issued by BattlEye; Bohemia support directs ban appeals to BattlEye, not in-game tickets.

Hardware-linked bans can block new Steam accounts on the same PC until you change hardware or use recovery workflows — see HWID Spoofer.

Patch windows

After DayZ client updates (for example 1.29 Road to Badlands on PC), wait for status to show Live before loading.

Community servers with BattlEye enabled still enforce the same client-side detections as official when BE is active.

Honest expectations
